King - A Red deer stag with large antlers and bellowing during the early stages of the rutting season on the west coast highlands of Scotland. Its a truly majestic animal. Photographed on the morning of Queen Elizabeth's funeral, it certainly had a very royal feel to it.
Puppy Eyes - A Grey Seal pup lying on a Norfolk beach, facing the camera with wide eyes.
Wild and Free - Black and white photo of a Friesian horse running through water, splashing water as it moves towards the camera.
Silver Lining - Minimalist silhouette/rim lit portrait of a deer with large antlers against a black background.
Scotland's Finest - A Highland cow from a prize winning bloodline walking in Loch Awe with a background of mountains.
Window to the soul - Close-up of a Freisian horse's face, showing its eye, mane, and textured coat in black and white.
The Buchaille - Black and white photo of a white highland pony standing on moorland in front of the famous Buchaille Etive Mor mountain in Glencoe. with a nice cloudy sky.
Black and white silhouetted rim lit of a deer with large antlers standing in grass, with a solid black background.
The Conductor - Taken one frozen morning on a local lake. Knowing the lake well, I knew there was potential to make an elegant picture of a Swan. There's lots of Swan pictures taken every week, very few do this majestic bird justice. I feel I've managed to do this. Keeping the picture minimal. All the attention is on the Swan and its lovely wing shape and detail.
Five of Ninety - Finding a large herd of Fallow deer locally that frequented on a brow of a hill was to good not to capture a minimal photograph. Trying to capture all ninety in one frame was to messy, so opted for a odd number in a smaller group.
Below the velvet antlers - watching a group of Red Deer stags feeding on low a branches of a oak tree was a great opportunity to capture a clean, symmetrical, bold and graphic like picture.
Sheen and Shadow - Ive been lucky to have photographer some stunning horses. This Friesian being one of them. Being a working horse for the best horse and carriage team in the U.K its no surprising it was well polished. Showing of the form of a black beauty.
The Icons - Every one loves highland cows. Teddy bear faces and viking horns, it's a must see when visiting Scotland. I found an award winning blood line cattle fold dating back to 1885. Sold through out Europe and Australia. The setting that these cows live were just as important to me. I wanted to capture the essence of Scotland. The hills in the background are known as 'hollow mountain'. Which was used the week before for filming a Star Wars spin off.
